Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) Carrier Enforcement Division conducted local commercial vehicle inspections on Wednesday, August 6, in Buffalo County. During this effort, the Metropolitan Aggressive and Prevention Selective (MAPS) Team conducted 41 vehicle inspections. Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol stopped over 1,800 drivers for speeding during a national effort focused on roadway safety in July. The Speeding Catches Up With You campaign ran from July 14 through July 31. During the effort, troopers made 1,806 traffic stops for speeding, including 62 for drivers speeding at over 100 miles per hour.
