The introduction to protection orders and the PO Portal training is a 48 minute recorded webinar that will include background on the PO Portal project and most recent updates. The process of obtaining protection orders and the roles/impacts of the various agencies that are involved in protection orders and their subjects. 

Target Audience:

  • Dispatchers/Communcations operators
  • Deputies
  • Sheriffs
  • Clerks of the District Court

*users must have NCJIS or JUSTICE access and basic knowledge of NCJIS to attend this training*

Our Return of Service (ROS) training is a 12 minute recorded webinar describing the requirements of ROS along with demonstrating how to complete an electronic return via NCJIS for a Nebraska protection order.  This training is a requirement to be able to complete eROS via NCJIS.

Target Audience:

  • Sheriffs
  • Deputies
  • any users who submit Return of Service (RoS) on behalf of their respective Sheriff's offiice

Our hands-on training will be live and in person training at predetermined dates and locations around the state (see emailed training announcement for dates and locations).  This instruction is intended for law enforcement staff who will be using the Portal for entry and maintenance in to NCIC.

*NOTE: We also welcome Court and Sheriff's staff to the morning portion of class. Requirements listed below can be ignored.

*CLASS REQUIREMENTS for NCIC portion*

  • users must have NCJIS access and training to attend this training
  • users must have NCIC certification or be registered for the next upcoming class
  • users must have attended our Phase 1 and 3 webinars within one week of live participation
