Nebraska State Patrol

As we’re currently taking preventive measures against the COVID-19 outbreak, our hiring processes for Camp 65 is currently still active. We are continually working to keep our employees protected and teams intact, while also accommodating new working arrangements. We ask for your patience and understanding during this pandemic, and please know that we are working to continue providing our best service to the citizens of Nebraska.

For over 80 years devoted men and women have served as Nebraska State Troopers protecting and serving the citizens of this great state.

What it means to be a Trooper:

It is a great honor and an extreme privilege to wear the uniform by having the opportunity to serve as a Nebraska State Trooper. I am very blessed and fortunate to have been invited to attend recruit camp becoming part of this great organization. I owe it to those that came before me, those that serve with me, and those called to serve in the future, to maintain the trust, honor, respect and integrity our agency has earned over these past 80 years. I have had the opportunity to do many things as a State Trooper, enforcing laws, assisting the public, as well as providing public safety related information.

As a Nebraska State Trooper, I have seen the best of humanity and the worst of humanity, and on occasion at the same incident. For those that have chosen this career path, it is not easy. The sacrifices State Troopers, as well as their families make, are many; sometimes the scrutiny of the profession both on and off duty is trying. Despite the complexity of the criminal justice system from both internal and external dynamics, the calling is unstoppable and the opportunity to serve is undeniable.
