Troopers Locate Fentanyl, Cocaine in I-80 Traffic Stop

Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol have arrested two people after locating more than 20 pounds of suspected fentanyl and cocaine during a traffic stop on I-80 near Lexington.

Sunday, at approximately 11:30 a.m., a trooper performed a traffic stop on a Honda CRV for speeding on I-80 near mile marker 239. During the traffic stop, the trooper became suspicious of criminal activity.

Troopers performed a search of the vehicle and found several packages of suspected fentanyl and cocaine. The total weight of the packages was approximately 23 pounds.

The driver, Miguel De Sala Rudecindo, 25, and passenger Geudys Cabreja Nunez, 31, both of Bronx, New York, were arrested for possession of cocaine, possession of fentanyl, and possession with intent to deliver. Both were lodged in Dawson County Jail.
