NSP Mourns Loss of Trooper Kyle McAcy

The Nebraska State Patrol is mourning the tragic loss of Trooper Kyle McAcy #302, who gave his life in the line of duty Monday morning, February 17, while assisting motorists who had been involved in a crash on Interstate 80 near Ashland.
Trooper McAcy has been a dedicated Trooper for 10 years and an incredible friend to countless people. Please keep his family, friends, colleagues, and all who have the honor of knowing him in your hearts following this unimaginable loss.
In the coming days, there will be opportunities for members of the public to pay their respects and to send love to Trooper McAcy's family. Those details are forthcoming. The outpouring of support has already been tremendous. Thank you, Nebraska.

Troopers McAcy's #302 cruiser has been posted outside the NSP Troop A Headquarters at 4411 S. 108th Street as a memorial. Members of the public are welcome to visit and place a note, flowers, or other memorial to honor Trooper McAcy.
Funeral services have been set for Thursday, February 27, at 11:00 a.m. at the Liberty First Credit Union Arena in Ralston, 7300 Q Street, Ralston, NE, 68127. Additional details will be forthcoming as planning continues.
