PURCHASING

The focus of the Purchasing Division is to facilitate the procurement of goods and services for the Nebraska State Patrol at pricing and quality that meets or exceeds the end user's expectations.

Creating an environment where employing the most effective and innovative methods for procuring quality goods and services is at the heart of what this division does. Responsibilities include providing employees of the Nebraska State Patrol a service that fosters an ethical, responsive, and efficient environment and recognizes the division’s obligations to suppliers and internal customers.

RESEARCH AND PLANNING

The focus of the Research and Planning Division is to provide decision-making support and assistance to the Command Administration and the agency as a whole.

This division provides management information studies concerning feasibility, design, modification cost factors and recommendations regarding implementation methods for the State Patrol. Special studies are conducted; equipment is tested and evaluated; special statistical and analytical reports are provided to the Superintendent’s Office in order to increase the operational effectiveness of the Patrol.
