This section is dedicated to announcements for current sworn members who are retiring and wish to publicize their retirement celebration. It also includes obituary notices for retired sworn personnel. Retirement notifications from the Nebraska State Patrol will continue to be distributed through the existing notification system upon receipt.

For immediate family death notifications that do not fall under these categories, please forward them to STAN Retiree Representative Scott Black for distribution through alternative channels.

Retired Sergeant Charles "Chuck" Wisehart, Badge #219, passed away Monday, August 24, 2026, at the age of 86.

Sgt. Wisehart graduated from Camp #17 in 1968, and retired in 1994.
