McCoy Named Troop C Captain

January 4, 2017 (Grand Island, Neb.)  — The Nebraska State Patrol announces the promotion of Lieutenant Jeromy McCoy to the position of Captain in Command of Troop C- Grand Island.

A 22- year veteran of the Nebraska State Patrol, McCoy, 45, started his career in 1994 assigned to the Carrier Enforcement Division in North Platte. McCoy transferred to Lincoln Traffic Services in 1995, where he became a Criminal Investigator in 2002. In 2004, he was promoted to Investigative Sergeant assigned to Troop C in Grand Island. McCoy was promoted to Traffic Services Lieutenant in 2014.

Captain McCoy holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminology from the University of Northern Iowa. McCoy and his wife Carey have three children.

He replaces former Troop C Captain Chris Kolb, who retired from the agency on December 31, 2016, after more than 33 years of service. ###
