Husker Harvest Days Enforcement Results

September 19, 2016 (Lincoln, Neb.)  — Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol Troop C- Grand Island conducted a night of high visibility patrols during the evening hours on Wednesday, Sept. 14.

The special enforcement, which was held during Husker Harvest Days, was designed to reduce the potential for serious injury and fatality crashes.

During the evening enforcement efforts, troopers issued citations and warnings for speeding (9), and no seat belt (1).

“Husker Harvest Days draws a lot of traffic to Hall County and the surrounding area,” said Captain Chris Kolb, Commander Troop C-Grand Island. “We want to thank everyone who attended for helping us keep our roadways safe through voluntary compliance with all traffic safety laws.”

The special enforcement effort was paid for thanks in part to a $725 grant from the Department of Roads Highway Safety Office. ###
