Otoe County Enforcement Results

September 19, 2016 (Lincoln, Neb.)  — No injury or fatality crashes were reported during a weekend special enforcement effort in Otoe County.

During the special enforcement, troopers arrested one driver for driving while intoxicated, and issued citations and warnings for speeding (69), Driving Under Suspension (1), drug possession (6), no seat belt (11), and child restraint violation (1).

“We want to thank the citizens and visitors to Otoe County for helping us have a safe weekend on area roadways,” said Captain Lance Rogers, Commander HQ Troop-Lincoln. “By making our troopers visible and available we were able to encourage voluntary compliance with all traffic safety laws.”

The special enforcement effort in Otoe County included high visibility patrols and a DUI checkpoint during the evening hours on Saturday, Sept. 17 into the early morning hours on Sunday, Sept. 18, thanks in part to a $2,100 grant from the Department of Roads Highway Safety Office. ###
