Hall County Special Enforcement Stats

September 6, 2016 (Grand island, Neb.)  —  Troopers with Troop C-Grand Island issued 21 speeding citations and warnings during special enforcement activities held in Hall County.

Activity was light during the special enforcement designed to reduce the potential or serious injury and fatality crashes over the two weekends of the Nebraska State Fair. Troopers conducted high visibility patrols in and around Hall County during the evening and early morning hours on Friday, August 26 and Saturday, Sept. 3, thanks in part to a $1,550 grant from the Nebraska Department of Roads, Highway Safety Office.

“We want to thank the motoring public for helping to keep our roadways safe during this very busy time,” said Captain Chris Kolb, Commander Troop C-Grand Island. “Having few issues points to drivers doing their part by voluntarily complying with traffic safety laws.”

During the enforcement troopers also issued citations and warnings for open container (1), no seat belt (7) and child restraint violation (1). Motorist assistance was provided to four travelers. ###
