Trooper Collects Award at Inspector Championships

(Lincoln, Neb.)- Nebraska State Patrol Trooper Ben Schropfer #360 received a first place award at the North American Inspector Championships (NAIC), held August 8-12 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Trooper Schropfer took home a 1st place honor for Hazardous Materials/Transportation of Dangerous Good and Cargo Tank/Bulk Packaging Inspection. This was Trooper Schropfer’s fourth trip to NAIC, having participated in 2010, 2011 and 2014. In 2011, he took home the same first place award at the NAIC in Orlando, Fla., and in 2010 he received a second place finish in the individual category for Level I inspections at the NAIC in Columbus, Ohio.

Forty-eight roadside inspectors from across North America participated in the 24th annual NAIC sponsored by the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA). The Inspector Championships is held each year in conjunction with the American Trucking Association (ATA) National Truck Driving Championships.

An 11-year veteran of the Nebraska State Patrol, Trooper Schropfer is stationed in Omaha and assigned to the Carrier Enforcement Division. ###
