Trooper Schropfer Wins Nebraska Inspector Championships

(Grand Island, Neb.)- Nebraska State Patrol Trooper Ben Schropfer #360 took first place honors at the Nebraska Inspector Championships held June 4-5 in Grand Island.

An 11-year veteran of the Nebraska State Patrol, Trooper Schropfer #360 is stationed in Omaha and assigned to the Carrier Enforcement Division. The Nebraska Inspector Championships is held each June as part of the Nebraska Truck Driving Championships. The competition consists of a personal interview, a table top exercise and various hands-on inspections.

This is Trooper Schropfer’s fourth win in this event since 2010. He previously took the title in 2010, 2011, and 2014. Trooper Schropfer will now represent Nebraska in the North American Inspector Championships (NAIC) in Indianapolis, IN, August 8-12. During the NAIC, inspectors from across North America are tested in a series of timed events, in which they will demonstrate their knowledge of the North American Standard Inspection Program. In addition to the competition, each inspector receives training on the latest safety information, technology, standards and inspection procedures.

The NAIC is held in conjunction with the American Trucking Association (ATA) National Truck Driving Championships. ###
