Balthazor Named Troop E Captain

(Scottsbluff, Neb.)- The Nebraska State Patrol announces the promotion of Lieutenant Jamey Balthazor to the position of Captain in Command of Troop E- Scottsbluff. 

A 16-year veteran of the Nebraska State Patrol, Balthazor, 41, served his first duty assignment with the Field Services Division in Imperial. In 2004, he was assigned to the Investigative Services Division. He returned in 2007 to Field Services in Troop D-Lexington, where he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. In October 2011, he was promoted to Lieutenant in the Field Services Division in Troop E- Scottsbluff where he will now serve as Captain.

Captain Balthazor holds a degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska-Kearney, is a 2010 graduate of the IACP Leadership in Police Organizations and a 2015 graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command in Nashville, Tenn.

He replaces former Troop E Captain Mike Gaudreault who was promoted to the rank of Major at State Headquarters in Lincoln. ###
