Gaudreault Named Field Services Major

(Lincoln, Neb.)- The Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) announces the promotion of Captain Mike Gaudreault, Commander Troop E –Scottsbluff to the position of Field Services Major assigned to State Headquarters in Lincoln. 

Major Gaudreault, 47, began his career in law enforcement in October 1990 with the Gering Police Department.  He is a 21-year veteran of the Nebraska State Patrol, graduating from the Nebraska State Patrol Training Academy in 1994.

“Mike is a principled leader who brings with him a wealth of knowledge gained through hard work and experience,” said Colonel Bradley Rice, Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol. “We welcome him to State Headquarters and look forward to his input as a member of  the agency’s senior management team.”

Major Gaudreault served his first duty assignment with the Field Services Division in Troop E – Kimball.  In 1997 he was assigned to Field Services Division in Troop D-Ogallala where he was promoted to the rank of sergeant in January 2003.   

In August 2008, he was promoted to Lieutenant with the Field Services Division in Scottsbluff and became Captain of Troop E-Scottsbluff in 2011.  

During his service with the agency, Gaudreault served as an Emergency Services Team member, is a 2010 graduate of the International Associations of Chiefs of Police Leadership in Police Organization course and a 2013 graduate of the 254thsession of the FBI National Academy.

Major Gaudreault will replace Major Friesz upon his retirement March 31.   ###
