Alcohol Inspections

During the evening hours of Friday, October 21, investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol conducted alcohol inspections in Hall and Howard Counties.

This project was supported in whole or part by grant #0043 under the Nebraska Department of Transportation – Highway Safety Office.

In total, 40 businesses were inspected. Four of those businesses sold alcohol to a minor for a compliance rate of 90%. The four businesses that sold to a minor failed to check the minor’s ID.

The businesses that failed the inspections were:

Charlie’s Station of Elba – Elba

McKinney’s Irish Pub – Grand Island

Snac Shac – Grand Island

Carlos O’Kelly’s – Grand Island

Businesses that fail the inspections are referred to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission. Clerks who sell alcohol to a minor are cited for procuring alcohol for a minor.
