Alcohol Inspections Conducted in Howard and Hall Counties

Investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol conducted alcohol inspections in Howard and Hall counties during the evening hours of Friday, November 9.

In total, 53 businesses were inspected. Of the 39 businesses inspected in Hall County, two sold alcohol to a minor for a non-compliance rate of 5 percent. Of the 14 businesses in Howard County, one sold alcohol to a minor for a non-compliance rate of 7 percent.

The businesses which failed the inspections were:

Hy-Vee Gas, 118 Wilmar Dr. – Grand Island (sold to minor, did not check ID)

CVS Pharmacy, 1710 W 2nd St. – Grand Island (sold to minor, checked ID)

Pump & Pantry #37 – St. Libory (sold to minor, checked ID)

Businesses which fail the inspections are referred to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission. Clerks who sell alcohol to a minor are cited for procuring alcohol for a minor.
