Alcohol Inspections Held in Custer County

March 19, 2018 (North Platte, Neb.)  — During the evening hours of Saturday, March 17, investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) conducted alcohol inspections in Custer County. The operation was made possible thanks in part to a grant from Region 3 Behavioral Health Services (Grant #1762).

A total of 18 businesses were inspected. Three sold alcohol to a minor for a non-compliance rate of 17%. Only one of the businesses failed to check the minor’s ID. The businesses included liquor stores, bars, grocery stores, convenience stores, and restaurants.

The businesses which sold alcohol to a minor were:

The Grocery Cart – Broken Bow (Checked ID)

Schmick’s Market – Broken Bow (Did not check ID)

Callaway Market – Callaway (Checked ID)

Businesses that fail the inspections are referred to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission and the clerks are cited for Procuring Alcohol for a Minor.
