Alcohol Inspections Conducted in Hall County

March 6, 2018 (Grand Island, Neb.)  — Investigators and troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP), with assistance from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, have conducted alcohol inspections in Hall County.

The inspections were conducted on Friday, March 2, thanks in part to a grant from the Nebraska Department of Transportation – Highway Safety Office (NDOT-HSO) as well as a grant from the Central Nebraska Council on Alcoholism and Addictions.

A total of 84 businesses were inspected. Four of those businesses sold alcohol to a minor, while only two businesses failed to check the minor’s ID. The overall compliance rate was 95%.

The businesses which failed the inspections were:

Smoker Friendly #015 – Grand Island (did not check ID)

Casey’s General Store #2742 – Grand Island (did not check ID)

Casey’s General Store #2707 – Grand Island (checked ID)

Hunan Chinese Restaurant – Grand Island (checked ID)

Businesses that fail the inspections are referred to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission and the clerks are cited for Procuring Alcohol for a Minor.
