 Weekend Special Enforcement Results Released

(Grand Island, Neb.)-  A special enforcement effort in Hall and Adams Counties over the weekend resulted in no arrests for impaired driving. “We contacted a lot of drivers over the weekend,” said Captain Chris Kolb, Commander Troop C- Grand Island. “We want to thank them for their cooperation and extend our appreciation for everyone who did their part to make this a safe weekend.”

The special enforcement, which included high visibility patrols, was conducted in and around the cities of Grand Island and Hastings on Friday, July 22 continuing into Saturday, July23.

While no DUI arrests were made, Troopers issued citations and warnings for speeding (15), and no seat belt (4).

The effort, designed to reduce the potential for serious injury and fatality crashes, was made possible thanks in part to a $1,550 grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety. ###
