Butler County Special Enforcement Results

(David City, Neb.)- Thanks to compliance by the motoring public, there were no arrests of impaired drivers during a special enforcement effort in Butler County over the weekend.

“Summer celebrations draw lots of visitors, creating increased traffic on area roadways,” said Captain Lance Rogers, Commander of Headquarters Troop-Lincoln. “I want to thank the public for making this a safe weekend in Butler County.”

The special enforcement July 22 -23, included high visibility patrols, and was conducted in conjunction with the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

Troopers issued citations and warnings for speeding (40), stop sign violation (1), no headlights (4), no child restraint (1), and no registration (3).

The effort, designed to reduce the potential for serious injury and fatality crashes, was made possible thanks in part to a grant from the Butler Believes in Youth and Community Coalition (BBYCC). ###
