Special Enforcement Planned for Butler County

(David City, Neb.)- Reducing the potential for serious injury and fatality crashes is the focus of a special enforcement planned for Butler County.

The Nebraska State Patrol, in conjunction with the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, will conduct high visibility patrols as part of a special enforcement effort July 22-23.

“Summer celebrations draw lots of visitors, leading to increased traffic on area roadways,” said Captain Lance Rogers, Commander Headquarters Troop-Lincoln. “By increasing our presence we hope to encourage voluntary compliance with all traffic safety laws, in turn reducing the potential for crashes.”

The special enforcement effort is made thanks in part to a grant from the Butler Believes in Youth and Community Coalition (BBYCC). ###
