Compliance Checks Held in Hall County

(Grand Island, Neb.)- On Friday, May 20, the Nebraska State Patrol, in conjunction with the Grand Island Police Department and the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, conducted compliance checks at 86 businesses in Hall County.

Of the 86 businesses checked, three were found to be non-compliant after selling alcohol to a minor. The retail outlets checked included convenience, liquor and grocery stores as well as restaurants and bars.

The compliance checks were conducted thanks in part to a $2,640 grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety (NOHS).

Law enforcement performs compliance checks to ensure that businesses are complying with the state’s alcohol laws to decrease youth access to alcohol. ###
