Classrooms:  Our classrooms are state of the art in many ways.  Electronic teaching aids are available to instructors who need high tech solutions as part of the teaching process.  Consideration has been given to lighting, seating, and room effectiveness; all in an effort to make the classroom learning experience as valuable as possible.

Firearms Range:  The firearms range is where the fundamentals of firearm operation are taught.  This training is conducted in a safe and controlled environment on the combat range.  The range is also used for testing the proficiency and accuracy of the firearms.

Carrier Enforcement Training: The Training Academy is equipped with a large all-season training facility (complete with an inspection bay) for Commercial Vehicle inspections.  The building has the capacity to house entire semi-trucks and trailers as well as having a state of the art classroom for training purposes.

Cafeteria:  The Training Academy has an on-site cafeteria where all meals are served and eaten.  Meals are included as part of Basic Camp at no additional cost to the Recruit.

The Barracks:  Living quarters for attendees at the Training Academy are similar to college dorm rooms.  Rooms are double occupancy and each contains its own bathroom facilities.  The paramilitary environment requires trooper recruits to keep their room and equipment inspection ready at all times.

Defensive Tactics room:   A smaller version of the gym, this room has safety features built in that accommodate the high level of physical interaction that is part of Defensive Tactics training.  Specialized gear is also part of the training process.

Weight Room: The weight room provides several up-to-date weight machines.  The room also provides several options which allow attendees to complete various workout regimens.  Free weights (primarily used for strength training) are part of the Recruit Camp workout routine.

Training Tank:  A training tank (pool) is provided as part of the wellness program at the Training Academy.  The tank is utilized as a training venue for water safety and rescue as well as for physical fitness training.  The tank is also available during select hours of the day for personal use.

Gym:  A high value is placed on physical activity at the Training Academy and the gym is provided to facilitate physical fitness.  It also provides a large open area for training purposes.

Emergency Vehicle Operations Track:  The track is a closed-loop testing ground used for mastering advanced driving skills used while working as a trooper.  The track is large enough to train in high speed maneuvering, as well as providing a location where mock accident scenes can be constructed and scattered over a large area.  It also serves as a safe roadway where recruits can learn the skills of traffic stops without interference from fast moving traffic.  The track incorporates multiple surface types with many true, early, and late apexes.  The track can be set up in multiple configurations.

PSD Building:  The Police Service Dog unit has a location on site to work with the dogs and perfect their advanced training in officer protection and contraband detection.  Having the training area on-site allows trooper recruits to interact with the dogs and handlers prior to meeting them in the field.
