The Nebraska Drug Abuse Resistance Education Program (D.A.R.E.) was launched in 1989. It is coordinated by the Nebraska State Patrol and taught by more than 50 local agencies statewide. D.A.R.E. uses uniformed officers in classrooms to help guide young people in making positive life choices and preventing the use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. Kelly Kolb serves as the Statewide Coordinator and Tammy Holcomb is the Educational Advisor. Both Kelly and Tammy work for the Nebraska State Patrol and perform other duties as well as their roles served for D.A.R.E. Nebraska D.A.R.E. is an accredited program.
