External position vacancies available to the public are posted on the Nebraska State Jobs Career Site. The Nebraska State Patrol is agency #64; therefore, any position listed that begins with #64 is with the Nebraska State Patrol. Apply now at www.statejobs.nebraska.gov.

External Sworn Officer Candidates
	Individuals interested in becoming a sworn law enforcement officer with the Nebraska State Patrol are encouraged to review the Sworn Applicant Handbook. Individuals who are selected begin their career at the entry level position of State Patrol Officer Candidate. Due to the highly demanding nature of the State Patrol Trooper position, passing the physical fitness requirements is mandatory of all applicants.
